Accident summaries

Tukes prepares annual summaries on the accidents and incidents that have occurred during the calendar year in question and are recorded in Tukes's damage and accident register (VARO). The purpose of these summaries is to provide an overview of the accidents and incidents in each branch.

Tukes has compiled the summaries into presentations that are available for everyone to use.

The summaries are not official statistics on accidents occurred in Finland because all accidents are not reported to Tukes and the companies' obligation to report accidents to Tukes varies from branch to branch.

Tukes has supplemented the quantity information presented in the summaries with more specified and supplementary information that can be found in the notes sections. You can use the notes, for example, in preparing your own presentation.
