13.12.2024 | Personnel qualifications in refrigeration will become fixed-term as a result of the new EU F-gas Regulation. All currently qualified personnel must renew their qualification by 12 March 2029 at the latest to keep the qualification valid. The renewed qualification is valid for seven years, after which the qualification must be re-applied for. 9.11.2020 | The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) investigated what caused the explosion at Helsinki City Theatre on 29 June 2020, and the results are now ready. The explosion was caused by hydrogen gas that got into the sprinkler room from the sprinkler system’s pipes during the system’s maintenance. Together with indoor air, it formed a flammable mix of hydrogen gas and air. The authorities wish to remind consumers that homemade masks do not protect the user from the coronavirus. However, if the user of the mask is infected with the virus, the mask may protect others.
