How to apply for authorisation to become a plant protection training and certification provider

Tukes organises basic training for people who apply to become plant protection training and certification providers. You can complete the training through an online training program at the time of your choice. You can get more detailed instructions by signing up for the training.

When you have participated in the training organised by Tukes, apply for an authorisation to become a plant protection training and certification provider by filling out the form in the electronic transaction service. You identify yourself to the transaction service, after which you can safely fill in and send the form.

Renewing the authorisation

The authorisation to organise plant protection training and certification will remain valid for five years.

When you need a new authorisation:

  • apply for an authorisation to become a plant protection training and certification provider by filling out the form in the electronic transaction service. You identify yourself to the transaction service, after which you can safely fill in and send the form.

  • participate in further training arranged by Tukes.

Tukes provides further training for training and certification providers who wish to renew their authorisation. Participate in the training within one year from the date when you were granted the certification to provide training or certification. Next further training will take place in early 2024.

The authorisation to organise plant protection training and certification costs

  • 440 e/authorisation if you apply for authorisation to organise either training or certification.
  • 550 e/authorisation if you apply for authorisation to organise trainings and certification.

Plant protection certification
Acquire the plant protection certification at an examination arranged by a certification provider authorised by Tukes.

Training
Participate in training arranged by Tukes.

Application for authorisation
Fill out the form in the electronic transaction service

Personal authorisation
The authorisation to provide plant protection training and certification is personal.

Tukes sends the authorisation
Tukes sends you the authorisation to provide plant protection training and certification, and adds your information to the contact information of plant protection training providers, in Finnish

Valid for five years
You may renew your authorisation by participating in further training and filling in the application for renewing the authorisation
