In-service verification of measuring systems
Scheduled verification must be carried out every two (2) years as well as whenever necessary on the liquid fuel measuring instruments that are in use. The verification is carried out by an inspection body approved by Tukes.
The inspection body has the right to receive the information required for scheduled verification from the owner, importer or manufacturer of the measuring instrument. The website maintained by WELMEC may be useful in finding out information about liquid fuel measuring systems compliant with the Measuring Instruments Directive.
A measuring instrument that has passed in-service verification has the mark shown in Figure 1, which states the time of verification.
