Tukes, the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency, is a licensing and supervisory authority and our objective is a safe Finland for all. We employ experts in various fields, such as biologists, lawyers, chemists, engineers, and administration and communication professionals. Our control extends from bubble baths to industrial plants.

We protect people, property and the environment from safety risks. We monitor that products, services and production systems comply with their statutory requirements. We enforce legislation related to the industries we oversee. We develop regulation, cooperation between authorities and operating models. We also carry out research and development projects.
