New authorised products and changes in uses and restrictions
New authorised products
Updating this list was discontinued from the beginning of the year 2024. The data can be retrieved from the Plant Protection Product Register.
New products and parallel products authorised in 2023 (1.12.2023; in Finnish, pdf 156 kt).
Changes in uses
The use of a product included in the register may change. Always check the product's authorised uses in the Plant Protection Product Register.
Tukes has maintained a list of authorised and withdrawn uses:
Additions and withdrawals of uses in 2018-2021 (11.2.2021; in Finnish/Swedish, pdf 285 kt). This table is no longer being updated. See further information in the Plant Protection Product Register.
Tukes approves new uses for registered products on application if the requirements for approval are met. Furthermore, Tukes may grant minor use authorisations for registered products.
Tukes withdraws authorised uses of registered products because
- the requirements for these uses are no longer met or
- when renewing the authorisation, the authorisation holder no longer applies for authorisation for these uses.
When Tukes withdraws an authorised use from a registered product, Tukes gives a date after which the product may no longer be used for the withdrawn use. This date can be found in the plant protection product register under “notes”. In addition, the information can be found in the label header as a mention: “This label text shall be applied as of xx.xx.20xx at the latest”. You can search for products for which the conditions for authorisation have changed in the plant protection product register by using the search “data updated”.
Changes in restrictions
The restrictions of use of registered products may change. Always check the Plant Protection Product Register for up-to-date restrictions of use. You can search for products for which the conditions for authorisation have changed in the plant protection product register by using the search “data updated”.
Changes in restrictions of use (22.12.2020; in Finnish/Swedish, pdf 148 kt). This table is no longer being updated. See further information in the Register for Plant Protection Products.
When Tukes adds a new restriction on the label text of a product or changes it in a stricter direction, Tukes usually gives a date after which the new restriction must be absolutely followed. The information can be found in the label header as a mention: “This label text shall be applied as of xx.xx.20xx at the latest”. However, it is recommended that the new restriction be followed immediately after the new label text has been added to the register.
Changes in product names
Upon the permit holder’s request, Tukes can change the trade name of an authorised product. However, the four-digit registration number of the product always remains the same.
Tukes has maintained a list of product name changes since 2004.
Name changes (Updated 12.10.2020, pdf 162 kt). Updating this list was discontinued in May 2021. The data can be retrieved from the Plant Protection Product Register.
In addition to the new name, you can use the previous name of the product to search for the product in the plant protection product register.
