Prices and forms, articles of precious metals
Applications related to the responsibility marks are submitted in the e-service (not available in English). You can identify yourself in the e-service using e.g. your online banking codes, after which you can safely fill in and submit the form. If you are unable to use the e-service (for example, if your company is registered abroad), contact Tukes: [email protected].
If the company’s Articles of Associations or partnership agreement was concluded before 1988, there may be problems in the use of e-services. In this case, contact the Finnish Patent and Registration Office, which will convert the Articles of Association or partnership agreement to an electronic format.
Renewing the registration of a responsibility mark
Use the form Renewing the registration of a responsibility mark (in Finnish) to renew the registration of your existing responsibility mark for the next three years.
Enter the responsibility mark on the form in the same format as it is registered (note capital and lowercase letters).
A fee of EUR 110 is charged for the renewal of the registration.
Registering a new responsibility mark and reinstating a previously registered responsibility mark
Use the form Application for a new responsibility mark or for reinstatement of a responsibility mark (in Finnish) when:
- applying for the registration of a new responsibility mark, or
- you are applying for reinstatement of a responsibility mark that expired before you renewed it (your company can apply for the responsibility mark to be reinstated in the register within one year of the end of the registration) or

The registration or reinstatement of a responsibility mark is subject to a EUR 160 fee.
Terminating the registration of a responsibility mark
Use the Terminating the registration of a responsibility mark form (in Finnish) if you want to end the registration of your responsibility mark before its expiry date. After the date of expiry, the registration automatically ends, and you do not need to do anything if you do not want to continue the registration of the mark.
After the registration of a responsibility mark has expired , the mark may no longer be used. However, the history information of the responsibility mark will remain in the responsibility mark register. After termination, the responsibility mark will be set to a ten-year waiting period, after which a new company can apply for the responsibility mark.
Terminating the registration of a responsibility mark is free of charge.
Transfer of a responsibility mark from one company to another
Use the Transfer of a responsibility mark from one company to another form (in Finnish) if you want to transfer a registered responsibility mark to another company.
Once Tukes receives a transfer notification, we will send the new company an email requesting them to send us an application for the registration of the responsibility mark in question.
There is no charge for a transfer notification.
A fee of EUR 160 is charged for the registration of a responsibility mark.
